Death

"- I haven't seen Peter for ages. How is he?
- Dead! He died just before Easter."

"He passed away just before Easter."
"We lost him just before Easter."

I'm dying for a cigarette.
I could murder for a cup of coffee.
I'm dying to meet her.
My head is killing me.
The bus doesn't leave till 6, so we've got an hour to kill.
Whenever you open your mouth, you murder the English language.
I'm sick to death of this weather.
The traffic was murder.
You look like death warmed up!
It's boring to death.

He's kicked the bucket.
He's popped his clogs.
He's gone to meet his maker.

over my dead body po moim trupie
to be dead to the world spać jak zabity
I wouldn't be seen dead wearing that hat! w życiu nie założyłbym tego kapelusza!
I wouldn't be seen dead in a place like that! w życiu/za nic na świecie bym się tam nie pokazał!
the affair is dead but it won't lie down sprawa wciąż odbija się czkawką
the only good traitor is a dead traitor dobry zdrajca to martwy zdrajca
you do that and you're dead meat zrób to, a nie ujdziesz z życiem!
dead men tell no tales umarli milczą

But whether on the scaffold high,
Or in the battle's van,
The fittest place where man can die
Is where he dies for man.
